Man runs off with valuable Maltese puppy

DUNWOODY, Ga., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- A Georgia pet store was robbed of a Maltese puppy valued at $1,800 by a man who ran off with the animal when he was allowed to hold it, police said.

A four-month-old Maltese puppy, along with its bed and some dog toys, were reported stolen from a Myrtle Avenue residence Jan. 20. The dogâs owner discovered the theft when she went to check on the puppy at 6:50 a.m. There were no signs of forced entry.
