Police arrest suspected puppy thief
Dunwoody police said the man suspected of stealing an $1,800 puppy from a pet store has been arrested. The Petland store manager said a man came on Jan. 22 asking to buy the Maltese puppy as an anniversary gift, but then ran out of the store with the puppy in his arms. A four-month-old Maltese puppy, along with its bed and some dog toys, were reported stolen from a Myrtle Avenue residence Jan. 20. The dogâs owner discovered the theft when she went to check on the puppy at 6:50 a.m. There were no signs of forced entry.
