Animal Society Celebrates 1000th Rescue

A 7-year-old schnauzer named Miley became the 1000th dog rescued by the The Best Friends Animal Society and the "Pup My Ride" program Wednesday.

For 18 years, Frank and Ann Davis have volunteered for Leader Dogs for the Blind, a Rochester-based, nonprofit organization that provides dog guides to people who are blind and visually impaired to enhance their mobility, independence and quality of life.
